Hello! It’s nice to meet you virtually.

My name is Emerald (pronounced eh·mr·uhld) and I am a Thai, sex and relationship therapist based in Los Angeles.

As your therapist, it is my top priority to hold space, non-judgmentally for you and your story. Our sessions will be built on mutual respect, understanding, and curiosity. I will follow your pace, listen to your feedback, and provide guidance where needed. Clients I’ve worked with have noted feeling less anxious in their daily life, more able to express themselves sexually and authentically, and have expressed a vast improvement in their overall self-esteem.

My clients come from a wide range of populations including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+ communities, and individuals with disabilities and neurodivergence. Stick around and learn more about how my services can benefit you.

My Approach

I provide specialized guidance, accountability, and a non-judgmental listening space to talk about sensitive topics like sex, intimacy, and connection. Feel free to read about my approach to therapy and how I can help you in your mental and sexual health journey.

People I Work With

Every session is as unique as the person I’m working with. With practice and training to facilitate productive conversations, I help individuals and couples feel safe, heard, and fulfilled in their lives. My clients consist of diverse ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, and stages in life. I have had the honor of treating the following populations including but not limited to:

  • Welcome to my website. Thank you for your interest in my services. I know therapy can be a daunting step, which is why I try my best to make our sessions safe and non-judgmental. I work really well with first time therapy seekers because I take sessions at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

  • I am passionate about working with Black, Indigenous, People of Color and hope to provide support in communities where sex and mental health are considered taboo. From personal experience, I understand the nuance of generational trauma, family dynamics, and cultural considerations.

  • Interracial relationships form when two people from different races unite as a couple. Interracial relationships can pose various social and personal challenges, which can be difficult to navigate.

  • All individuals are welcome in my office, regardless of gender, race, and sexual identity. Using a client-centered approach, I help individuals in the LGBT+ community navigate identity exploration, societal challenges, and polyamorous relationships.

  • Our 20s and 30s come with hormonal, body, and life transitions. It helps to gain another perspective in learning how to make decisions that serve us, instead of resorting to people-pleasing behaviors or thinking of societal expectations.

  • Sexual trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms can have long-lasting effects. I utilize cognitive processing therapy, specifically for sexual assault, (CPT-SA) to help clients work through past trauma and regain control and empowerment.

  • Break-ups can be hard to navigate as there are raw emotions present. Through short-term therapy, we can collaborate to understand what it means to be separated or transition your relationship from a romantic context to a friendship.

  • Many of my clients struggle with ADHD and/or autism. I understand that life can feel chaotic, isolating, and confusing. Together, we can navigate how to gain more structure in your life and help your relationship thrive.
